陈燮君

1952年7月生于上海，祖籍浙江宁波。

美国圣路易斯华盛顿大学哲学系学习博士研究生课程。

现为上海大学美术学院兼职教授、博士生导师，上海博物馆研究员。

曾任上海市文化广播影视管理局党委书记，上海图书馆、上海科学技术情报研究所党委副书记、副馆长、副所长，全国青年联合会委员，上海青年联合会副主席，上海社科院信息研究所副所长兼社科院图书馆馆长，2010年上海世博会主题演绎顾问、总策划师。

现任上海市文物管理委员会副主任、上海博物馆馆长、教科文卫委员会副主任委员，兼亚欧基金会博物馆协会执委、美国亚洲协会国际理事会理事、国际博协中国国家委员会副主席、中国博物馆协会副理事长、上海文博学会理事长、复旦大学中国文人书法暨石鼓文研究中心特聘研究员、中国美术家协会会员、上海市美术家协会理事、中国书法家协会委员、上海市书法家协会主席团成员、上海市作家协会理事，享受国务院颁发的突出贡献政府特殊津贴。

Chen Xiejun

Born in Jul. 1952 in Shanghai, with ancestral home in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province.

Doctoral Candidate of Philosophy Department of Washington University in St. Louis.

Serve as an adjunct professor and Ph.D. supervisor of Fine Arts College of Shanghai University, researcher of Shanghai Museum.

Former party secretary of Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture, Radio, Film and TV, vice party secretary and vice-director of Shanghai Library and Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of Shanghai, member of All-China Youth Federation, vice-president of Shanghai Youth Federation, vice-director of Institute of Information of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, director of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences Library, chief planner and consultant of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo theme development.

Current vice-director of Shanghai Municipal Administration Commission of Cultural Heritage, director and research fellow of Shanghai Museum, standing member of Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress and vice-director of its Education, Science, Culture and Public Health Committee, executive member of The Museum Association of Asia-Europe Foundation, council member of International Council of Asia Society, vice-president of ICOM China, vice-director of Chinese Society of Museums, director of Shanghai Culture and Museum Society, researcher of Fudan University, member of China Artists Association, council member of Shanghai Artists Association, committee member of China Calligraphers Association, member of Shanghai Calligraphers Association Presidium,council member of Shanghai Writers Association.Received the Special Government Allowances of the State Council.
